The art and craft of building a great team begins with a vision of the kind of team and culture you will be creating and sustaining as well as the tasks and skills you are seeking to access. Soft skills like being coachable (able to learn), good communications, flexibility, collaborative capacities, creativity, and focus are essential. Hard skills and experience that the jobs requires are to be identified with an emphasis on learning and adaption. Finally a mix of skills, talents and passions need to be alignment with the company goals, practices and the teaming culture. A well-oiled team - whether a social media team, a canvassing team or photography team - requires constant monitoring, nurturing and tweaking.
