Many of us, including myself, are in this position. It took time to figure all this out, but there are no super-secrets here. I'm putting all the most important components together in an easy to digest format. This way you don't have to struggle through it like I did.
I am writing this primarily to help some not-for-profit organizations I work with. However I will keep the terminology and techniques general enough that anyone can benefit from them.
